Peter Andersen

Chief Financial Officer

Peter is the Chief Financial Officer of HCAP Partners, where he leads the firm's finance function and oversees the financial operations of its family of funds. He is responsible for the firm's operating capital strategy/forecasting and lender relationships, financial reporting and audit oversight, regulatory compliance, and investor-facing financial matters, and he provides broader operational leadership across the firm.

Peter has a strong understanding of the financial services and life science industries through his tenure in public accounting at BDO USA and completion of his SAICA articles at BDO South Africa. While working in public accounting, Peter gained extensive experience and knowledge in technical accounting, fund accounting under ASC 946 — Investment Companies, Sarbanes-Oxley compliance, US GAAP, and IFRS.

Peter holds a Bachelor of Accounting and Post-Graduate Honours Degree in Accounting from the University of Stellenbosch. He is also a Chartered Accountant (South Africa) and a licensed Certified Public Accountant (California).
